Jordan Walker has been one of the most impressive players for St. Louis this season, owning a .322/.377/.619 slash line over the last 30 games with 10 home runs and 27 RBIs. Walker, whose previous career-high in home runs and average was in 2023 with 16 home runs and a .276 average, is on pace to smash that this season and be a driving force behind the Cardinals’ return to the postseason.

The first thing St. Louis will have to do is outlast the rest of their division as the schedule rolls into mid-summer. It’s almost impossible for every team to keep up the pace they are on, and the Cardinals’ continued success, like winning series against the Dodgers, is a great step in the right direction.

The Dodgers’ form over the past few weeks has to be concerning. The Cardinals handed them their third series loss out of the last four with their win on Saturday night, and they’ll attempt to avoid a sweep on Sunday.
