New update on Brie Bella’s WWE SummerSlam shoulder injury: ‘She is in a lot of pain’

Just hours after WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella made her in-ring comeback, her twin sister Brie Bella was ruled out with an injury. At WWE WrestleMania 42 earlier this year, The Bella Twins were supposed to team up and win the women’s tag-team titles in potentially their last WrestleMania.

However, Nikki Bella was ruled out with an ankle injury and was replaced by Paige. Holding the women’s tag-team titles for several months, Paige and Brie Bella lost them to Fatal Influence a few weeks ago. At WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One, Brie Bella and Paige teamed up with the returning Nikki Bella to face the Fatal Influence trio.

However, midway through the bout, Brie Bella suffered a concerning shoulder injury after taking a cannonball on the ringside steps. Bella was later spotted grabbing her shoulder in pain during the post-match turn and beatdown on Paige.

Recently speaking on Busted Open Radio, Nikki Bella was asked about the condition of her sister. Sharing a not-so-positive update, the Hall of Famer said, “She’s doing okay. She is in a lot of pain. They are still determining what is going on. Brie [Bella] will share that whenever. I’ve been told to ‘zip it.'”

As of now, no official injury update has emerged on Brie Bella’s shoulder return and return timeline.

Triple H provides an update on Brie Bella’s WWE SummerSlam injury

At the WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One post-show press conference, Triple H confirmed and opened up in detail about Bella’s injury. “Yeah, she’s injured,” Triple H said. “I don’t have an update yet. We’ve taken her. She was here, got some treatment done here, has been taken to the hospital to get some scans done. Don’t have a clean answer on it yet. I know she hurt her shoulder. It seems pretty bad, but I don’t have an answer yet. Hopefully we will soon. Hopefully, it won’t be as bad as we thought it was, but that’s the nature of the game.”
