WWE shares update on Brock Lesnar’s retirement after SummerSlam 2026

At the WWE SummerSlam 2026 rubber match, fans witnessed Oba Femi defeat Brock Lesnar in the main event of the Night One show. Competing in his career’s first-ever WWE main roster PLE main-event, Femi left everyone impressed and lived up to the expectations.

Despite taking severe damage, Femi stood strong and pinned Lesnar to secure the victory. Following the match, “The Beast Incarnate” showered Femi with praise and announced him as the company’s future while declaring himself as the past.

Later, at the WWE SummerSlam Night One post-show, Triple H conducted a press conference, where he opened up and addressed Lesnar’s retirement status. Lesnar seemingly retired at WWE WrestleMania 42, before making a comeback a few weeks later.

“You saw Brock [Lesnar] in whatever way he retired a few months ago and then come back and do this. But for Brock to walk back to the ring, to bring Oba back in there with him, to put him over verbally and physically as, ‘This is the future of the business. This is the today. This is the now. This is the future, and I am the past.’ That’s a pretty bold statement.

“Brock doesn’t just say things. Without reading into it any more than that, ‘I am the past’ is what he said. But you know as well as I do, Brock does what Brock wants to do. So I would take what he said at face value and let’s see,” Triple H claimed.

As of now, there are no confirmed updates on Lesnar’s retirement or active WWE status.
