NBA reveals landslide voting result in Joe Mazzulla COTY win
Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla is this year’s Coach of the Year Award winner after leading the team to a 56-26 record and the No. 2 seed in the playoffs without the roster being at full strength. While there were plenty of coaches deserving of the highly touted award, the NBA revealed that Mazulla won the COTY by a landslide.
The NBA announced that the 37-year-old head coach earned 62 first-place votes out of 100 voters, helping him achieve 392 total points to win the COTY. Detroit Pistons head coach JB Bickerstaff was the only other individual to receive double-digit first-place votes with 29.
A global media panel of 100 voters selected the 2025-26 NBA Coach of the Year.
