Maxx Crosby makes retirement vow and tears into Ravens ‘conspiracy theory’ after doomed trade

Maxx Crosby is using his Baltimore Ravens snub as fuel for the upcoming season.

The Las Vegas Raiders superstar is set to hang around after the Ravens pulled the plug on a trade, citing a failed medical.

After seeking to leave the Raiders, Crosby has since confirmed his commitment to the only team he has ever played for.

He wants to retire in Silver and Black, but admits the nature of the NFL means anything is possible.

“I’m here. I’m meant to be a Raider,” said the 28-year-old. “I’m in this s*** for life until that changes, which I don’t foresee, but you never know in this damn league.”

Crosby appeared on The Rush podcast to shed light on how things went down with Baltimore.

It appears that things went south almost immediately as the men who offered two first-round picks for his services failed to appear until after a pysical.

The pass-rusher, who is rehabbing from a season-ending knee injury, said he was at the facility for an hour before heading for scans and did not meet head coach Jesse Minter or General Manager Eric DeCosta until he saw the doctors.

“You can just tell the energy was off. Like I dapped him up and he had like a blank face,” Crosby said of DeCosta.

Having been left “f***ing livid” and “confused,” the gifted athlete is in a better place now.

“Everyone’s got their own theory, conspiracy theory, no one really will ever admit on either side what the real truth is or whatever,” Crosby said. “Ultimately, it doesn’t even matter.

“I am where I’m supposed to be. I know that. I’ll just say that s*** happens for a reason. I know exactly who I am. I’m f***ing crushing my rehab. I’m doing what I’m doing.

“I wasn’t supposed to be in Baltimore and that’s it. You know what I mean? I’m meant to be a Raider. It’s through my damn core. And that’s it. I leave it as simple as that.”

The Raiders splurged a league-high $281 million in free agency expecting Crosby’s salary to be off the roster and should be much stronger next season with Quay Walker, Nakobe Dean, Eric Stokes, and Tyler Linderbaum on board.

Maxx Crosby issues injury update

Crosby spoke to his orthopedic surgeon Neal ElAttrache after the busted move and insists he is on track.

He revealed: “He’s like ‘Maxx, don’t listen to any of that s***. Your knee is great. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. You’re even ahead of schedule. You’re doing everything right. They know you had surgery nine weeks ago.'”

Former teammate Gerald McCoy has told AFC West quarterbacks that they’d better watch their backs.

“I am going to be 200 percent by training camp, and the world is going to get the best version of 98,” NFL Network’s McCoy revealed that Crosby told him.

The Ravens signed Trey Hendrickson in a $112 million deal the day after moving on from Crosby.

“One of the things that stood out to me, since 2021, Trey is second in the NFL in fourth-quarter sacks,” Minter said to unveil the signing. “When we talk about being able to have a closer mentality and finish games and dominate the fourth quarter, Trey is the epitome of that.”
