What happened in the fifth round?

Liverpool were the first side to book their spot in the last eight with a 3-1 victory at Wolves; Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones all scoring at Molineux.

Arsenal beat League One outfit Mansfield Town 2-1 in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday, although it was far from comfortable.

Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze scored either side of a low Will Evans finish for the hosts to ensure the Gunners avoided an upset.

In the tie of the weekend, Chelsea were 4-2 winners against ten-man Wrexham in a chaotic clash.

Alejandro Garnacho and Joao Pedro were the crucial goalscorers after the two clubs played out a 2-2 draw in normal time at the Racecourse Ground.

Later in the evening, City came from behind to win 3-1 at Newcastle.

Omar Marmoush netted two goals after a bizarre first from Savinho, as City reached their second domestic cup final of the season.

Championship promotion hopefuls Southampton left it late to shock top flight side Fulham in the opening match on Sunday.

Ross Stewart scored a penalty in second half stoppage-time to send the Saints through to their first quarter-final since 2022.

Port Vale completed another ‘cupset’ as they earned a narrow 1-0 win at home to Premier League Sunderland.

The winner, scored by Ben Maine, means Vale will play in the FA Cup last eight for the first time since 1954.

Finally, Leeds were comfortable 3-0 winners at Elland Road against Norwich City.
