Logan Paul mourns Oliver Tree’s death

The world of entertainment and pop culture was recently torn apart when US singer Oliver Tree suffered a devastating helicopter crash in Brazil and, unfortunately, lost his life. He was among six people who died when their helicopter collided with another in Brazil.

Tree, 32, was on a world tour when the crash occurred over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, Jun. 14, 2026. One of the helicopters then fell onto a nearby car park of a dealership, setting ablaze 20 parked vehicles there. The BBC reported that footage published by Brazilian media showed one of the helicopters dropping as flames and thick smoke rose from the crash site.

As per Associated Press, Argentine content creator Gaspar Prim Diaz – also known as Gaspi – was also rumored to have been in one of the helicopters. The other passengers on the helicopter were Lucas Brito Chaves, Lucas Vignale, and pilot Alexandre Souza. The crew for the second aircraft had only the pilot, Charles Marsillac, listed.

Shortly after the devastating news became public, content creator and WWE Superstar Logan Paul shared a heartfelt note on social media while reflecting on his friendship with Tree. “I’m still in denial that one of my favorite people is no longer with us. I’m absolutely gutted, words can’t describe how special Oliver was to so many people. Tragedy has taken life way too soon, with so much creativity and vibrance and talent. I’d like to think he’s on his next adventure somewhere in the universe. Horrible horrible horrible, I don’t even know how to process this. Rest in peace Lucas Vignale, Lucas Chaves, Gaspi & Oliver. Love you brother we are all going to miss you [Oliver Tree],” Paul wrote.
