LaMelo Ball lets out NSFW reaction to game-winner vs. Heat

It took a lot of will and moxie for LaMelo Ball to hit the game-winning shot to carry the Charlotte Hornets to the playoffs. With 8.7 seconds on the clock, Ball got the Ball and drove it to the hole and laid it up off the glass. Then the Heat inbounded the Ball to Davion Mitchell as quickly as possible. But then, as he drove to the basket, he was blocked from behind by Miles Bridges.

In the end, the Hornets beat the Heat 127-126 in overtime. Afterward, Ball didn’t hold back when describing the moment, which included dropping an f-bomb, per Underdog NBA.

“I just gotta win the game,” he said. “I feel like I just f**ked the game up, so I’m like, ‘It’s my fault.’ Gotta make it work.”

In the end, Ball finished the game with a double-double of 30 points and 10 assists. As a result, the Hornets will now face the loser of the Orlando Magic/Philadelphia 76ers Play-In game. If they win that game, they will secure the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Plus, Ball was able to redeem himself after he was called out for tripping Bam Adebayo in the second quarter.

This year, Ball averaged 20.1 points and 7.1 assists per game. Bridges finished the game with 28 points and 9 rebounds, shooting 10-for-18 from the field. Meanwhile, Brandon Miller came away with 23 points as well as five rebounds and five assists. Coby White had 19 points and five rebounds. Kon Knuppel finished with 6 points and five rebounds.

The Hornets are looking to make the Playoffs for the first time since 2016.
