KSI buys former EFL club and targets the Premier League

YouTube phenomenon KSI has sensationally completed the purchase of non-league club Dagenham and Redbridge.

The streamer-turned boxer has vowed to bring the glory days back to the Essex club, who currently play in the sixth tier of English football after finalising his purchase.

In a video filmed at the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham Stadium and posted on X on Tuesday, KSI revealed that he was buying the club after saying that despite his successes in other fields including music and television, ’you can’t ever stop wanting more’.

The boyhood Arsenal fan added the caption: “I’m so excited to start this journey. It’s gonna be a rollercoaster for sure but I hope to bring Dagenham and Redbridge back to the glory days.

“For those of you that are OG fans (Race to Division One), you’ll know that this is a full circle moment for me.

“So join me on this exhilarating adventure and I’ll see you all at Victoria road this Saturday! I’ll be streaming too haha.”

KSI admitted a long-term target of his is to take Daggers to the Premier League although the main focus in the short term is to get them promoted out of the National League South.

The announcement comes just days after former Premier League and England striker Andy Carroll became a shareholder in Dagenham and Redbridge.
