Knicks vs. 76ers 2026 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals Game 4 prediction, odds, pick

The New York Knicks are in a position to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and sweep the 76ers out of the playoffs. Head coach Mike Brown’s team played with poise and a dominant defense in beating the Sixers 108-94 as the series moved to Philadelphia for Game 3.

Once again it was Jalen Brunson who put his imprint on the game for the Knicks as he led the way with 33 points. He connected on 11 of 22 shots and handed out 9 assists. Every time the 76ers looked like they had a chance to make a run and challenge the Knicks, Brunson either scored or set up a teammate. He was joined by Mikal Bridges, who stepped up in a big way with 23 points. Bridges also played sensational defense throughout the game.

The Knicks needed the performance from Bridges because defensive stopper OG Anunoby missed the game as a result of his sore hamstring. Bridges had the responsibility of checking Tyrese Maxey. The 76ers star scored 17 points, but he was limited to taking just eight shots through the first three quarters.

The 76ers got a lift from the return of center Joel Embiid (hip, ankle). After sitting out Game 2 at Madison Square Garden, Embiid played 34 minutes and scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Embiid was productive, but he was forced to absorb a lot of contact in this game and he slowed down at times in the second half.

If the Sixers are going to get a victory and stay alive in the series, they are going to need a better effort from Paul George. While he started the game on a hot streak, he followed that by missing nine consecutive shots.

The key is to start off with a solid first quarter and then string three more together.

They were unable to do that in Game 3. They played an emotional first quarter and had a 31-27 lead, but they were unable to sustain it as the Knicks took charge in the second quarter. The Knicks have demonstrated more depth and more consistency throughout the first three games, and the 76ers are going to have to find a way to overcome this issue if they are going to send the series back to Madison Square Garden for Game 5.

The 76ers will clearly play with desperation in this game. There may not be a lot of belief in the Sixers’ locker room that the team is capable of coming back and winning the series — the Sixers are familiar with NBA history — but this is a team with a lot of pride. Getting swept out of the playoffs by the Knicks would leave a bitter taste that they will have to live with throughout the summer.
