Wizards’ AJ Dybantsa’s hilarious response to trade request question from fan

Washington Wizards’ prized rookie AJ Dybantsa might be the number one overall pick, but he is also like millions of other young people committed to the world of content creation. In the Wizards’ star’s most recent YouTube video, a hilarious moment occurred when a fan asked him whether he was going to request a trade.

“You gonna request a trade?” asked the fan, to which Dybantsa deadpanned, “No.” Dybantsa’s father then quipped, “A rookie requesting a trade,” with a laugh. AJ highlighted afterwards that for a rookie to do such a thing is not even allowed by the NBA.

“You gonna request a trade?”

It can be assumed that the fan asked the question to troll. Nevertheless, given the Wizards’ track record over the last few seasons, plenty of other trolls might argue that he had a point. Wizards fans will at least be grateful that Dybantsa seemed fairly certain in his response.

Dybantsa is spearheading a new era for the Wizards that could silence any fans who believe Washington is the type of organization players avoid. Besides being one of the most exciting prospects the Wizards have ever had, Dybantsa will be joining former All-Stars Anthony Davis and Trae Young on a dramatically improved roster from last season.

With the start of the NBA regular season still a couple of months away, Wizards fans have plenty of time to kill before seeing their new-look squad. For now, they can take solace in the fact that there is literally zero chance AJ Dybantsa won’t be suiting up once the season begins.
