Knicks superfan Ben Stiller makes stance clear on New York’s uniform decision for ECF Game 1

A decision has been made regarding the New York Knicks’ Game 1 uniforms in the Eastern Conference Finals (ECF), and superfan Ben Stiller loves it.

New York will seemingly wear their traditional white uniforms for Game 1. Stiller was elated about this on X, formerly Twitter, raving, “Good choice.”

New York is hoping that the uniforms give the team luck in their first game of the series. It has been over a week since the Knicks completed the sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers in their series on Mother’s Day.

It’s unknown if Stiller intends to attend Game 1. He is usually at the Knicks’ home games, especially in the playoffs, so it wouldn’t be unprecedented.

When is the Knicks’ ECF Game 1 vs. the Cavaliers?

The first game in the series between the Knicks and the Cavaliers will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 pm EST.

Because the Knicks were the higher seed, the first two games will be played at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Then, Games 3 and 4 will be played in Cleveland, Ohio. If Games 5, 6, and 7 are necessary, they will alternate between New York and Cleveland.

The Cavs survived the Detroit Pistons in their playoff series. Despite the Pistons being the first seed in the Eastern Conference, they were bounced by Cleveland.

This is the second year in a row that New York has made the Eastern Conference Finals. Last year, they lost to the Indiana Pacers in six games.

The Knicks were leading late in Game 1 vs. the Pacers. However, Tyrese Haliburton’s late-game heroics helped lead the Pacers to a victory.

After New York was sent packing, Indiana would play the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. They would lose the series in seven games. Haliburton suffered a torn Achilles in Game 7 as well, keeping him out for the entire 2025-26 season.
