Knicks’ Jalen Brunson reveals how chemistry is key to 3-0 lead vs. Cavs
The New York Knicks are absolutely rolling right now, and they are doing it with a smile on their faces. Following a dominant 121-108 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, New York holds a commanding 3-0 series lead.
While tactical adjustments and grueling defense deserve plenty of credit, superstar guard Jalen Brunson points to a simpler formula behind the team’s historic 10-game postseason winning streak: pure camaraderie.
During a postgame appearance on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt, Brunson shed light on what makes this specific squad so dangerous, especially when playing in hostile territory like Rocket Arena.
“We genuinely like playing together,” Brunson told Van Pelt. “We created a chemistry that’s been great. … It’s been a lot of fun.”

That tight-knit bond translated beautifully onto the court on Saturday night. The Knicks shared the rock effortlessly, carving up Cleveland’s defense to shoot a blistering 56% from the field. Brunson spear-headed the offensive masterclass, torching the Cavaliers for a game-high 30 points and dishing out six assists.
He had plenty of help from his close friends on the wing. Mikal Bridges showed out with 22 points on a highly efficient 11-of-15 shooting performance, while OG Anunoby added 21 points of his own. Karl-Anthony Towns anchored the interior with 14 points and seven rebounds, helping New York edge past Cleveland on the glass, 37-34.
On the flip side, the Cavaliers looked disconnected. Despite Evan Mobley scoring 24 points and Donovan Mitchell chipping in 23, Cleveland collapsed under New York’s pressure, coughing up 17 turnovers and shooting a miserable 29% from three-point range.
With history firmly on their side, no NBA team has ever blown a 3-0 lead, and the Knicks look to complete the sweep on Monday.
