Garnett Doesn’t Buy Spurs Hype

Garnett’s biggest concern centered on the environment at Madison Square Garden. He questioned whether Wembanyama could thrive under the pressure and intensity that comes with playing in New York during the Finals.

The Hall of Famer also dismissed the idea that the Spurs could treat the trip like a normal road stop. Garnett joked that Wembanyama would not have time for sightseeing or dinners around the city because the focus would need to remain entirely on basketball.
