Kevin Durant drops 1-word declaration on Jaylen Brown’s fit with 76ers

Jaylen Brown is totally aware that he has to earn the trust of the fans of the Philadelphia 76ers, and he is willing to do everything to prove himself to them.

Throughout his career, Brown had viewed the 76ers as the enemy, given the team’s bitter rivalry with the Boston Celtics. Now, he is willing to run through a wall for Philadelphia after being traded by Boston in an unexpected twist.

Understandably, the initial concern about Brown is his fit with the Sixers, given that he is another high-usage star, similar to Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Kevin Durant, however, sees no problem. He believes Brown will only make the 76ers better.

“Dangerous,” said Durant, agreeing with the adjective used by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s John Clark.

The two-time Finals MVP, who will enter his second season with the Houston Rockets, added that he is eager to see Brown play with the Sixers.

“It’s going to be exciting. I’m happy for him. A fresh start. Philly fans are going to love him,” said Durant.

He shared that he was not surprised at all when it was revealed that the Celtics shipped Brown to the 76ers, acknowledging the business side of the NBA.

“You can’t be stunned. It’s the NBA, man. Luka Doncic got traded in the middle of the night. Nothing’s out of the realm for me anymore as an NBA player,” stated Durant.

Aside from Brown, Philadelphia also added Dean Wade, Anfernee Simons, and Ariel Hukporti in the offseason, while losing Paul George, who was included in the trade for Brown, Kelly Oubre Jr., Andre Drummond, and Quentin Grimes.
