Katie Taylor vs Flora Pili undercard announced including Dave Allen and Molly McCann

Katie Taylor’s fairytale send-off will be supported by an eight-fight undercard packed with notable names.

The Irish boxing legend bids farewell to boxing at Dublin’s Croke Park on September 5 against unbeaten Frenchwoman Flora Pili.

It marks the first time since Muhammad Ali’s stoppage victory over Alvin Lewis in July 1972 that the iconic 82,000-seater has hosted a boxing event.

And fans are set to turn out in their droves to watch Taylor bid to become a two-time undisputed super lightweight champion.

Tickets for the event flew off the shelves within 30 minutes of going on general sale, with the appetite so great that the event had completely sold out before an undercard had even taken shape.

Two weeks removed from the sell-out, fans finally learnt who else would be fighting on the Croke Park cracker.

Who is on Katie Taylor’s undercard?

The undercard includes an intriguing 50/50 heavyweight clash between Dave Allen and Ireland’s Thomas Carty.

Allen (26-9-2) is currently rebuilding his career off the back of his one-sided beating at the hands of Filip Hrgovic in May.

He returned to the ring in June to best journeyman Ross McGuigan over four rounds in Rotherham and is set to have another run-out in Doncaster on July 25 before meeting Carty in a shootout at the last chance saloon.
