John Lynch reveals timetable for George Kittle return from injury
George Kittle snatched a beer from Tyrese Haliburton in his last public appearance during WWE Wrestlemania 42. But will San Francisco 49ers fans spot him at training camp amid his NFL Injury? General manager John Lynch dropped an update there Saturday.
The 49ers’ GM revealed the timetable for when Kittle can return from his torn ACL.
“He’s going to be ready at some point, if not for the first game,” Lynch told the NFL Network during the NFL Draft Saturday.
Kittle exited the playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 11. He later watched the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks dismantle the Niners 41-6 in the divisional round.
Kittle isn’t allowing his knee to slow him down, though. And not just limited to his Wrestlemania appearance.
Kittle took up golfing back in January. But he wore a walking boot as he hit the links.

Kittle needed to swing out of a golf cart too. But that appearance occurred nearly a week after the 49ers’ season ended.
San Francisco will eventually welcome back its 32-year-old star when he’s cleared to play. Kittle hands SF a valuable locker room presence and example setter on the field. He’s still revered for his grit on the field especially after the catch. San Francisco still trusts the Iowa legend in the ground game too with creating running lanes.
Lynch and the 49ers didn’t draft a TE during the three-day event. But nabbed new wide receiver De’Zhaun Stribling out of Ole Miss, which drew some criticism in taking him at No. 33 overall.
