The New York Knicks are currently resting up and getting prepared for the NBA Finals, which they punched their ticket to with a sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Knicks have been on a dominant run in this postseason, having won 11 straight games, 10 of which came by double digits.

Recently, a video went viral on social media showing Pop Leo acknowledging and waving to Knicks fans during a parade route, and now, former Villanova head coach Jay Wright has chimed in on the cool moment.

“Love it!” wrote Wright on X, formerly Twitter.

Wright, of course, coached Knicks starters Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, and Mikal Bridges with the Wildcats and won championships with all of them, and now, they will look to add an NBA title to their impressive resumes.

The Knicks have been on an absolute tear over the last month. Since falling behind 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round, the Knicks have won 11 straight games, and have won their three closeout games by 51, 30, and 37 points, respectively.

Bridges in particular has done a complete 180 from his rough start to the playoffs, now looking like the elite two-way wing the Knicks thought they were getting from the Brooklyn Nets. Hart continues to serve as the connective tissue that holds everything together, while also torching opponents who dare him to shoot from three, while Brunson has proven that small guards still can be the best players on championship-level teams in the modern NBA.

The Knicks will face far and away their toughest challenge in the Finals against either the Oklahoma City Thunder or San Antonio Spurs, but if the last month is any indication, they will be more than prepared for the task.
