Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. JJ Aldrich prediction, odds, pick for UFC Winnipeg
UFC Winnipeg continues to roll as we bring you another betting prediction and pick for this next bout in the Women’s Strawweight (115) Division. Canada’s own Jamey-Lyn Horth will take on Colorado’s No. 14-ranked JJ Aldrich in an evenly-matched scrap that could go either way. Check our UFC odds series for the Horth-Aldrich prediction and pick.
Jamey-Lyn Horth (9-2) has gone 4-2 since joining the UFC roster in 2023. After a loss to Miranda Maverick, she’s bounced back with consecutive victories over Vanessa Demopoulos and Tereza Bleda. She comes in the betting favorite in her home country looking for another exciting TKO finish. Horth stands 5-foot-7 with a 66-inch reach.
JJ Aldrich (14-7) has gone 10-6 inside the UFC since 2016. Winning three of her last four fights with two coming by unanimous decision, she comes into enemy territory with a chip on her shoulder, but can stand to see her ranking improve with a win. Aldrich stands 5-foot-5 with a 67.5-inch reach.

Why Jamey-Lyn Horth Will Win
- Last Fight: (W) Tereza Bleda– KO (right hook, R1)
- Last 5: 3-2
- Finishes: 4 KO/TKO, 2 SUB
Jamey-Lyn Horth capped her last appearance with a quick TKO finish over Tereza Bleda, decisively finishing the bout after landing a flush right hook to drop her opponent. She comes back to fight in front of her home Canadian fans for just the second time in her UFC stint, notching a split decision win during her last showing from Edmonton over Ivana Petrovic. Expect the crowd support to be significant for one of their brighter prospects on the women’s roster.
Horth is very decisive in the way she closes the striking distance and doesn’t typically leave exchanges without having landed on her opponent. She’s very accurate in landing 55% of strikes, but her 63% defensive rate is even more impressive as she does a great job managing distance and limiting her opponents’ opportunities.
Horth is also a very strong grappler and sports a 79% takedown defense rate, so don’t expect Aldrich to threaten her much on that front. In fact, Horth will have the edge just about everywhere when it comes to the grappling, so don’t be surprised if she’s aggressive in clinching and trying her inside trips along the cage to score points on intermittent takedowns. Still, she’ll be expecting to put on a striking masterclass, which seems increasingly likely if she’s able to gauge the timing of Aldrich early.
Why JJ Aldrich Will Win
- Last Fight: (W) Andrea Lee – U DEC
- Last 5: 3-2
- Finishes: 3 KO/TKO
JJ Aldrich has been consistent throughout her UFC career, remaining on the right side of her 10-6 W/L record and breaking through into the strawweight rankings. She comes into this bout with a decade of UFC experience, but it’s certainly a tough spot in enemy territory as the slight betting underdog. Three of her 10 UFC wins have come in underdog spots, so she’ll certainly be determined to spoil the party in Canada as she looks to defend her ranking.
Aldrich is typically very steady in her striking and offers consistent output throughout all three rounds. She’s more than comfortable pushing into the third round and over her last few wins, we’ve seen a greater sense of urgency from her trying to gain an edge in the striking totals. With 11 career wins by decision, Aldrich will be looking to dissect her opponent’s game slowly and win each round with octagon control.
Aldrich is still absorbing 4.32 significant strikes per minute, higher than her landed rate of 3.96/min. It’s worth noting that she’s only been knocked out once in her career and is extremely tough to put away, but her opponent is more than comfortable fighting all three rounds in her own right. This could become a war of attrition late, to which Aldrich may have the edge with her experience in back-and-forth fights.
Final Jamey-Lyn Horth-JJ Aldrich Prediction & Pick
With Jamey-Lyn Horth on the cusp of the rankings and fighting in front of the home Canadian crowd, it comes as no surprise to see her the betting favorite ahead of this matchup. While JJ Aldrich is the more experienced fighter, she’s slightly out-matched in the striking and grappling against Horth who’s riding a ton of momentum ahead of this one.
Horth logs the more accurate striking numbers and should be able to dictate where this fight takes place with her grappling advantage. From there, expect an all-around performance as she keeps her output consistent and takes a unanimous decision in front of her home country fans. Let’s roll with the betting favorite for our final pick.
Final Jamey-Lyn Horth-JJ Aldrich Prediction & Pick: Jamey-Lyn Horth (-155); OVER 2.5 Rounds (-520)
