Jake Paul wants to avenge Tommy Fury defeat as plans for 2026 emerge despite broken jaw

Jake Paul wants another shot at Tommy Fury, according to his manager Nakisa Bidarian.

Paul is recovering from the double-broken jaw that he suffered in the sixth round of his defeat to Anthony Joshua.

The brutal stoppage has Paul sidelined for the time being, with many suggesting he should bow out of the sport completely.

Although ‘The Problem Child’ remains insistent that he plans to return to the ring next year.

As speculation grows over who he will face next, MVP co-founder Bidarian revealed that an old foe is still weighing on Paul’s mind.

He explained to TMZ Sports: “Look, he wants to come back. We haven’t talked about a timeline, but he wants to come back in 2026.

“He put out a post that says ‘I love this time to like recover back to cruiserweight, who do you want to see me fight?’

“So I believe that to be the case, but I also want him to get through the holidays, feel a little bit better and then have the conversation with him.

“There’s no need to rush in terms of what’s next. Tommy Fury is a loss that he wants to avenge.

“Do I want to pursue the Tommy Fury fight next from an MVP perspective? No, because I don’t believe Tommy Fury is reliable.

“But ultimately it’s Jake’s call, just like Anthony Joshua was Jake’s call.

“So we’ll speak to Jake and whatever he wants to do I’ll do my hardest and try every effort to make it happen for him.”

Is Jake Paul likely to fight Tommy Fury again?

Paul has suggested that he wants to fight the Briton across 12 rounds if they were to meet again, which Fury has yet to do in his professional career.

And according to the American, Fury has already rejected an offer of $15 million to sign a deal.

While the pair have often teased a rematch, negotiations have repeatedly failed to amount to anything more than verbal back-and-forth.

Elsewhere, Paul has dreams of fighting for the cruiserweight crown, which would likely see Noel Mikaelian as a prime target for the 28-year-old’s return.

After losing to Joshua, Paul revealed: “We’re going to heal the broken jaw, come back and fight people my weight and go for the cruiserweight world title.

“I’m going to take a little break. I’ve been going hard for six years. I’m going to take some time off.”
