Jake Paul receives support with staggering $5 million bet in Anthony Joshua fight
Film producer John Peters has astonishingly bet $5 million on Jake Paul causing a seismic upset against Anthony Joshua.
Paul is an overwhelming underdog in his clash with former two-time heavyweight world champion Joshua on December 19 in Miami.

It is a fantasy fight which needs to be seen to believed, with the YouTuber-turned-boxer having only fought limited and out of prime opposition in his short career.
Most of the viewing public simply believe the outcome will just be a matter of how many rounds Paul lasts against the heavy-handed Briton.
But that is not the view of renowned film producer Peters, who has put his money where his mouth is according to TMZ.
The movie guru, who helped produce the likes of A Star is Born and Batman, has placed a $5 million wager on Paul.
And if that is to have officially been placed, it could see him land a mind-blowing prize pot in excess of $35 million as a result.
Paul is understood to have received information that the bet has been placed, and assured Peters he will receive a lucrative payday.
But the Problem Child has an uphill task, and would almost certainly inflict the greatest upset in boxing history if he is to win.
Has anyone else backed Jake Paul to beat Joshua?
It is not the first bet that has been placed praying on Paul’s chances of beating Joshua.
The influencer-turned-boxer’s former rival Nate Diaz has wagered $20,000 on his conqueror who beat him in 2023.
Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has also astonishingly suggested Paul will beat Joshua, although he is arguably AJ’s bitter rival.

He has even suggested he is open to putting down £1 million on that exact result.
Paul himself knows that support for his victory will be few and bar between, but he is confident he will do exactly what Andy Ruiz Jr did to Joshua in 2019.
He said: “This is Andy Ruiz 2.0. For sure [this would be the biggest upset in boxing history].
“Right up there with Mike Tyson versus Buster Douglas. I am going to go in there and shock the world.
“I know this is challenging, but I know what I am capable of. This is going to be fun.
“I want him to cut me up. I want him to break my face. He’s going to have to kill me to stop [me].
“And I am seriously ready to die in the ring to win this fight.”
