Is Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards on Game 4 injury report vs. Spurs?
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been dealing with knee issues for the last couple months, including a new injury that kept him out of the end of the first-round series against the Denver Nuggets. But Edwards returned quicker than expected in time for the start of the second-round series against the San Antonio Spurs, and it appears his knee problems are no longer worthy of showing up on the injury report.
Edwards isn’t on the Timberwolves’ Game 4 injury report for Sunday’s clash against the Spurs. Donte DiVincenzo is the only Wolves player listed, and he’s out for the season with the Achilles injury suffered in Game 4 against the Nuggets. Ayo Dosunmu is also no longer on the injury report after dealing with recent calf and heel issues.
Anthony Edwards’ injury status vs. Spurs

At the tail end of the regular season, Edwards battled a right knee injury similar to what Stephen Curry dealt with, missing a handful of games in the process. While the Timberwolves star was ready to go for the start of the playoffs, he didn’t look quite like himself, and then he suffered an injury to his left knee in Game 4 against Denver. The knee hyperextension and bone bruise forced him to miss Games 5 and 6 of that series.
A report emerged that Edwards was aiming for a return in Game 3 or 4 against San Antonio, but instead he played in Game 1 and helped lead Minnesota to a stunning upset. The Timberwolves have since lost the last two games of the series, with Edwards struggling in Game 2 before a monster Game 3 in which he recorded 32 points, 14 rebounds and six assists. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough as Victor Wembanyama dominated in a 115-108 Spurs win.
Minnesota will need Edwards to show that Game 3 form again in Sunday’s Game 4 to tie up the series, but he’ll also need some help. Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels combined to shoot just 8-of-34 from the field in Game 3.
It’s obviously a good sign for Edwards’ health that he’s no longer listed on the injury report. Now he’ll need to deliver on the court in what’s essentially a must-win game.
