IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans' strongest predicted XI against Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will look to continue their winning momentum and solidify their position in the points table as they host Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match 37 of IPL 2026 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK head into this home fixture riding high on confidence after a dominant 103-run victory over arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. With Sanju Samson in stunning form following a recent century, the Super Kings' batting unit looks formidable. Playing in the familiar conditions of Chepauk, Chennai will aim to exploit their home advantage to climb further up the points table.

In contrast, the Gujarat Titans find themselves struggling, needing a win to end a two-match losing streak and keep their playoff hopes alive. While Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan have provided solid starts, the Titans have struggled for late-innings acceleration and bowling discipline in high-pressure moments.

Here's GT's predicted Playing XI vs CSK in Match 37, IPL 2026

Top-order: Shubman Gill (c), B Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler (wk)

This top-three of Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler is the biggest strength of Gujarat Titans. All of them can play the long innings and take their side to a solid total. Captain Gill is one of the leading run-scorers of the tournament, with 297 runs so far.

Sai Sudharsan is coming off after a sensational century against RCB, and will look to continue the same form. Jos Buttler comes in at number 3, and adds immense value to the side. He will also take on the wicketkeeping duties.

Middle-order: Washington Sundar, Jason Holder, Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia

The middle-order remains a concern for the IPL 2022 champions. Washington Sundar has scored runs, but is not consistent enough with the bat. Jason Holder replaced Glenn Phillips in the last game, and played a good cameo. Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia continue to be backed by the GT management, but they will need to step-up.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Manav Suthar, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj

Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj lead this GT bowling line-up with the new ball. Both of them have been bowling decently, picking up crucial wickets up front. Rashid Khan seems to have found his magic back with the ball, and will be crucial for them in the middle-overs. Manav Suthar adds a valuable spin option too.
