IND vs SA 2025: Fan blames JSCA workers and local police after losing AirPods during 1st ODI in Ranchi
A fan went to watch the first ODI between India and South Africa at the JSCA International Sports Complex in Ranchi on Sunday, November 30. While the match turned out to be a humdinger, he had to return home without the AirPods he had carried to the stadium.
The fan took to Reddit and shared his harrowing stadium experience, putting serious allegations on JSCA workers and local police.
When the fan reached the stadium, he was informed that he would not be allowed to carry his AirPods inside. The fan said that AirPods were not mentioned in the list of forbidden items on the match ticket.
When asked to keep the AirPods at the security check post, the fan became suspicious. The cricket enthusiast decided to get back to his car and keep his AirPods inside. However, managing to walk back to the car became difficult as thousands of fans were waiting outside trying to get into the stadium.
The fan claims that at this point, a JSCA worker told him to keep the AirPods at the security check and enter the stadium or else he should leave the premises altogether.
“Aap ya toh andar abhi ghusiye ya bahar chale jayie iske baad mai apko ghusne nahi dunga (Either you get in or you go out. I won't let you enter after this)," the fan was told by the JSCA worker.
The fan decided to keep the AirPods next to a police officer, who ensured that they could be collected after the match. However, when a relative of the fan had to leave after an hour of entering the stadium premises, he couldn't find his belongings. The fan returned to see that the AirPods he had kept there were also absent.
"The JSCA volunteers were screaming at me, telling me it was not their responsibility, and the police reacted by saying: 'logo ko dekhe ya apke airpods ko [(Should we watch the people or your AirPods?)'", the fan shared.
According to the fan, eight other people had similar issues. When the fan tried to search for his AirPods through the Find My application, it showed that the last location was inside the indoor stadium area. The JSCA workers apparently gather there for post-match lunch and dinner. However, access was denied for this area, and the fan couldn't search inside.
“Ab murder vagera hote rehta hai police station mai koi apke airpods nahi dhundhega (There are murder cases that are keeping us busy in the police staton, no one is going to search for your AirPods," the fan was told by a policeman.
