The ILL Release Date arrives next year, offering a survival horror gameplay experience that people have been waiting a long time for. There were those who said this day would never come, but ILL’s release date is slowly but surely approaching. Soon enough, everyone will be able to dive into Team Clout’s exciting first-person shooter. Without further ado, let’s dive right in.

ILL Release Date – 2027

The ILL Release Date is not yet confirmed, but will launch in 2027, according to developer Team Clout. The game is available for wishlist on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. No editions of the game or prices have been announced.

ILL is developed by Team Clout and published by Mundfish Powerhouse. This will be Team Clout’s first game they have developed, and Mundfish’s first published game under their Powerhouse label. (For reference, Mundfish also developed Atomic Heart).

ILL Gameplay

ILL is a first-person action survival horror game. You travel throughout a research fort in search of something precious to the protagonist. However, the journey inside won’t be sunshine and rainbows.

The facility is filled with monstrous creates generated by “a mysterious source of evil” according to the developers. You’ll encounter grotesque creatures of all kind. From creatures that can manipulate their own flesh, to masses of bodies combined into one, to a literal giant head bursting through walls, there’s no shortage of abominations in this place.

Fortunately, the main character is more than equipped to take on the enemy. Whether he uses a melee weapon, ranged weapon, or even a thrown obstacle, he has ways of keeping himself safe. From the trailers we’ve seen a pistol, submachine gun, shotgun, and we’ll probably see more in the final release.

Inspired by titles like Dead Space and Half-Life 2, Physics and dismemberment play a huge role in ILL’s gameplay. Each hit you land on an enemy literally makes its mark, rewarding you with some sweet visuals. Plus, you can use the environment around you to advance. For example, one of the trailers shows the player throw at box at an enemy, stunning them and forcing them to trip.

Team Clout seeks to create human-like reflexes for the AI, making enemies feel unpredictable. The result should lead to unique enemy interactions where they respond to everything you do. The physics once again play a big role in how they move around.

As a survival horror game, inventory management becomes crucial. Every shot matters, and players may even upgrade their weapons. These enhancements may become the difference between life and death in certain situations.

ILL Story

The story of ILL follows a protagonist who has recovered from a coma, only to find himself in a mysterious facility overrun with monsters. However, instead of trying to escape, they must venture deeper into the facility to look for something precious to them.

Fortunately, he’s not alone. ILL seems to feature other human characters who also play a role in the story. However, we’re not sure if all of them have the best intentions. We’re curious to see what roles these characters play in the story.
