Hurricanes’ Taylor Hall reaches Ron Francis territory in Stanley Cup Final Game 4
The Carolina Hurricanes have evened the 2026 Stanley Cup Final against the Vegas Golden Knights. Jordan Staal led his squad to a massive win, and we now have a best-of-three mini-series to determine who will raise Lord Stanley’s Cup. Staal is not the only veteran having an incredible postseason, though, as Taylor Hall has come up clutch time and time again.
Hall recorded an assist on Tuesday night in Game 4. His helper fueled the Hurricanes to a big three-goal first period. Carolina lost the lead in the second, but eventually added another two goals in the third period to claim a 5-2 win.
During the win, Hall notched a rather notable feat. He is the third skater in Hurricanes history to record 10 points on the road in a single postseason, according to NHL Public Relations. Ron Francis did so during Carolina’s run to the Cup Final in 2022. The other player to do it was Cory Stillman, who did so during the Hurricanes’ run to the Stanley Cup in 2006.
Hall joined the Hurricanes in the first Mikko Rantanen trade in January 2025. He scored 18 points in 31 games down the stretch for Carolina last season. This year, he scored 18 goals and 48 points in 80 games.
The former No. 1 pick has turned it up in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year. Including his point on Tuesday night, Hall has scored six goals and 17 points in 18 playoff games. He is tied with Logan Stankoven for the most points among Carolina skaters this playoff run.
Hall and his Carolina teammates are so close to their ultimate goal. There remain some obstacles before they can raise the Stanley Cup, though. The Hurricanes and Golden Knights return to the ice on Thursday night for Game 5 at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
