Heat rumors: Insider claims Miami ‘don’t really care’ about Tyler Herro’s feelings about Giannis trade
With it being nearly a forgone conclusion that the Milwaukee Bucks are going to trade star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason, one team that has seemingly emerged as the potential favorite to land the Greek Freek is the Miami Heat.
Assuming the Heat are the frontrunners, or one of them, for a Giannis trade, it’s pretty much 100 percent certain the team would to have included veteran guard Tyler Herro as one of the players going to the Bucks. And the Heat are quite alright with that, as per Sam Amick of The Athletic.
During a recent appearance on ‘The Dan Patrick Show,’ Amick explained how other teams potentially interested in the 10-time All-Star are also trying to navigate possibly offending other players currently on the roster. The Heat are not concerned at all about that.
“Miami is loud with it right now. They don’t care if everybody knows they’re chasing Giannis. They don’t really care how Tyler Herro feels about getting traded,” Amick reported. “I think there‘s a lot of teams that are absolutely looking at this and interested here, but also have to pay attention to their own locker room dynamics.”
Amick also cites Karl-Anthony Towns not being very thrilled when his name was mentioned in potential trade rumors involving Giannis going to the New York Knicks, as well as the Celtics and the Jaylen Brown situation. He also makes it clear though that the Knicks are out of the Giannis sweepstakes in the midst of reaching the NBA Finals with their current roster.
