Bijan Robinson and Drake London had an intriguing story to share regarding their numbers on the Atlanta Falcons.

London entered the NFL in 2022 while Robinson arrived the year after. The former took No. 5 as the latter eventually took No. 7. However, there was a chance for the pair to switch numbers during their interview with reporter Jordan Schultz.

“I was number five in college. So I was like, “S***, I’m number five in the league. When I got drafted to here, I was like, “This might be tough. because it’s Drake.’ But I texted him just to see. I was like, ‘Yo, Drake, can I get number five?’ But he was actually like, ‘You know, let me see about something.’ Like he didn’t shut me down,” Robinson said.

“It’s cool that you have seven, and I think the Cowboys have 88, right? Lineage of wide receivers and stuff. But over here, I think when you have seven, that’s two of the shiftiest players to ever come to the game. If I’m gonna be completely honest, you got Mike Vick, and then you got you, and it’s like, you see seven on the Atlanta Falcons, red and black. Better get your ankles wrapped up,” London stated.

What lies ahead for Bijan Robinson, Falcons this season

Bijan Robinson and Drake London have both settled in with their jersey numbers. Now, they look forward to an intriguing season with the Falcons.

Robinson is explosive as one of the elite running backs in the league. He racked up 1,478 yards and seven rushing touchdowns while making 79 catches for 820 yards and four touchdowns. On the other hand, London caught 68 passes for 919 yards and seven touchdowns throughout 12 contests in 2025.

Atlanta seeks to improve on their 8-9 record from the previous two seasons. They also intend to make the playoffs after an eight-year absence and end their nine-year NFC South title drought.

The Falcons’ regular season commences on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. ET.
