Golden Knights’ Shea Theodore salvages SCF Game 3 after blown 4-0 lead
The Vegas Golden Knights had a 4-0 lead in the second period of Game 3 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final. Mitch Marner had scored a hat trick, and it seemed as if they were going to cruise to a win. It was a much tougher battle than expected, but Vegas pulled out with the win.
As mentioned, Marner scored a hat trick on Saturday night. Vegas eventually surrendered its 4-0 lead, as the Hurricanes scored four goals to force overtime in Game 3. In overtime, Vegas salvaged the win as Shea Theodore scored the game-winner in double overtime.
