Opera Ballo is the third favourite in the lineup for the Sussex Stakes, which offers over £800,000 to the winner.

The lucrative race sees a battle between the favourite Bow Echo and the two time second place behind that horse, Gstaad.

It looks like it could just be yet another close finish between those two in the front two positions with Opera Ballo tipped to finish third, based on the odds.

At 4/1 he’s the closest rival to the other two and far and away the shortest of any other rival priced in the double digits.

But he could also launch a surprise to boost his chances of finishing further into the top 3 which makes the odds so likely at 1/2.
