Giants O-lineman’s hilariously candid reaction to Arvell Reese draft pick goes viral
Most fans of the New York Giants love that they drafted Arvell Reese with the fifth pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but one of their offensive lineman, Jermaine Eluemunor, is dreading the offseason program.
He took to X, formerly Twitter, to share his reaction to the draft pick. Eluemunor posted a picture of a worker with their head down outside of their place of work with the caption, “Another Edge Rusher?! Practice will be fun!”

His presumed reaction to the Giants’ next draft pick, Francis Mauigoa out of Miami, was much more positive, as he wrote, “Love it!” with a fire emoji.
The Giants’ two first-round picks in the NFL Draft

Of course, Eluemunor is just having fun. Both of the Giants’ first round picks were highly-touted prospects at their respective positions.
Reese was selected with the fifth-overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He is a linebacker out of Ohio State and was the second player in a row drafted from the university (wide receiver Carnell Tate went one pick earlier to the Tennessee Titans).
In 2025, Reese had his breakout year. He combined for 69 total tackles (34 solo, 35 assists) and had 6.5 sacks. As Eluemunor noted, he is an edge rusher, adding even more depth to the Giants’ stacked defensive line. His presence is much needed after they traded Dexter Lawrence.
Speaking of Lawrence, the Giants traded him to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the 10th overall pick. With that selection, they picked Mauigoa, an offensive tackle, hoping to shore up the offensive line and protect second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart.
He played for Miami from 2023 to 2025. During his collegiate career, he was named Consensus All-American and was a First-team All-ACC selection.
The Giants have the fifth-overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. So, they are once again in prime position to select a top prospect.
