Fox producer reveals Tom Brady’s decision on broadcasting future amid concerns over Raiders ownership
As the 2025 NFL season reaches its climax with this Sunday’s NFC Championship Game, the biggest story isn’t just the action on the field, but the man holding the microphone in the broadcast booth.
Amid swirling rumors and conflict of interest outcries regarding his role as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, Fox lead NFL producer Richie Zyontz has finally pulled back the curtain on Tom Brady’s future with the network.

Despite the noise, the message is clear: the GOAT isn’t going anywhere.
“I think he’s long-term for it, for sure,” Zyontz told Sports Business Journal. “You can’t predict the future… but I would say right now he’s committed to doing this as long as he can, and he’s gotten damn good at it.”
When Brady first signed his record-breaking 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox, many wondered if the seven-time Super Bowl champion would have the patience for the brains-to-mouth transition of broadcasting.
Early in 2024, critics pointed to awkward moments and over-preparation as signs of a rocky start.
But according to the Fox production team, Brady’s sophomore season in 2025 has been a revelation.
“Tom overprepared last year because he had so much to say,” Zyontz continued.
“So a game might start and right away too much information would come out too fast and too quickly. Other times he might start a thought and then maybe wander. Starting a thought is a lot easier than finishing a thought.
“Tom would start a thought and maybe there would be an awkward moment where he wasn’t quite sure where he was going to go. I don’t see that at all this year.
“He knew exactly what to work on between Season 1 and Season 2, and most of it is just getting more comfortable with what a broadcast is. It’s what you can do and what you can’t do, and what I should prepare for and what I should pare down.
“It’s obvious Tom loves football and loves what he does. Despite having all these different balls in the air, he is 110% into making the broadcast as good as possible.”

Lead director Rich Russo added that Brady has mastered the technical nuances that separate great analysts from the pack.
From his precise use of the telestrator to his pre-snap awareness, Brady has transitioned from a rookie broadcaster to a seasoned veteran who “knows what a great picture is.”
The strong backing and commitment from Fox comes at a time when Brady’s dual roles have reached a boiling point.
Following reports that Brady has taken an increasingly active role in the Raiders’ football operations, including assisting with head coaching interviews, rival owners and critics have called for him to choose a side.
The NFL has already placed strict limitations on Brady, prohibiting him from attending in-person production meetings or visiting other teams’ facilities.
However, Brady has remained defiant, recently describing those who see a conflict as “paranoid” and stating that his roles in ownership and media are where his ethical duty emerges to grow the game.

For Fox, the confirmation of Brady’s commitment is a massive win.
After moving on from fan-favorite Greg Olsen to install Brady, the network took a significant gamble on the legendary QB’s drawing power and work ethic.
As the crew prepares to call the Rams-Seahawks clash this weekend, the focus is no longer on whether Brady can do the job, but how high his ceiling truly is.
With many more years left on his contract and a blossoming chemistry with partner Kevin Burkhardt, Brady seems determined to conquer the broadcast booth just as he did the gridiron.
