Fever’s Caitlin Clark says ‘mark your calendars’ in latest signature shoes tease

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever marked their season-high fourth straight win after beating the Toronto Tempo, 113-91, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday.

The Fever, who led by as much as 24 points, improved to 9-5. The Tempo, meanwhile, fell to 7-8, suffering their third consecutive loss.

Clark had 21 points, five rebounds, and 14 assists, while Kelsey Mitchell led the scoring with 26 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from long distance.

The 24-year-old Clark was in a jovial mood in the postgame conference. When asked about wearing friendship bracelets that read “Caitlin 1” and “10-01-26,” which might be hinting at the release date of her much-anticipated signature shoes, Clark remained coy.

“Mark your calendars, I guess,” said the two-time All-Star with a smile, as shown in the video posted by the Indianapolis Star’s Chloe Peterson.

Peterson also noted that Clark already has a “date for her personal launch in mind.”

In 2024, the former Rookie of the Year signed an eight-year, $28 million deal with Nike just weeks after the Fever drafted her as the No. 1 pick. She has worn different player exclusives, including a Taylor Swift-inspired pair, before announcing that she will have her signature shoes.

Last week, Clark told the media that they will be launched “very, very, very, very, very soon,” as reported by Yahoo! Sports’ Megan Armstrong.

Well, based on her friendship bracelets, it is safe to presume that the release will be on October 1.

In the meantime, Clark and the Fever will try to keep their momentum going in what has been an up-and-down campaign.

They will host the Atlanta Dream on Thursday.
