Fans ruthlessly clowns Thunder’s Chet Holmgren with 4-piece order from McDonald’s
Chet Holmgren has become quite the laughingstock of the sporting world after wilting in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs. Holmgren did not rise to the occasion in a matchup against Victor Wembanyama. Instead, he ended up with just four points and four rebounds in 33 minutes of play as he watched the Thunder’s season come to an end back on Saturday in a 111-103 loss to the Spurs.
It looked very much as though the moment got too big for Holmgren, and many fans are now clowning the Thunder star as a result — with many even calling for OKC to trade him away. And the jokes regarding Holmgren’s disappearing act are not going to stop anytime soon, with some even going to McDonald’s and ordering a four-piece chicken nugget meal in honor of his Game 7 vanishing act.
“Can I have a Chet? Is there a Chet Holmgren special,” the fan said. “Oh my bad. Can I get a four-piece chicken nugget. Just four piece chicken nuggets. The Chet Holmgren.”

It became so jarring just how much Holmgren looked like a shell of himself as the Thunder could not come up with the requisite answers to stop the Spurs in Game 7. There has been a viral video going around on social media where Holmgren decided to just give up the basketball instead of attacking Wembanyama in the fourth quarter to try and get him to foul out.
This kind of horrific game gets magnified when it happens in the grandest stage, so it might be best for Holmgren to stay off of social media altogether until he’s ready to absorb all the vitriol and jeers heading his way. Now, the true test begins for the Thunder big man: is he going to take this to heart and enter next season with a vengeance?
