Fans roast Cavs’ Dennis Schroder for wasting no time with 0-2 Instagram post
The Cleveland Cavaliers are likely still licking their wounds after suffering a double-digit beating against the New York Knicks, 109-93, in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Madison Square Garden on Thursday.
But it looks like Dennis Schroder is already moving on.
Schroder contributed four points, four rebounds, and three assists in 18 minutes off the bench. His primary task, however, was to be a pest on defense against Jalen Brunson. He was doing a decent job until Brunson took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points, to seal the one-sided win.
Despite being in a 2-0 hole in the best-of-seven series, the 32-year-old Schroder posted pictures of himself on Instagram a few moments after their tough defeat.
“0-2,” wrote the veteran guard in the caption.
Fans roasted Schroder for his odd flex and faulty timing.
“Why are you posting when the team is struggling?” asked @tommymaroon2.
“SON, the game JUST ended,” added @joeylevi2.
“Three people on the hit list now: James Harden, Kenny Atkinson, and Dennis Schroder. COZ WHY DO YOU KEEP POSTING AFTER LOSSES?” said @pravidemic_.
“Damn, bro updating the series score faster than ESPN,” wrote @sanjaybelani1.
“This is why you get traded every season,” commented @sexmoneydrugz7.
“You genuinely went to IG after being the closest thing we’ve seen to Solomon Hill,” posted @fendifavorite.
Well, at least his notifications are blowing up now.
The Cavaliers, who blew a 22-point lead in Game 1, have yet to figure out the Knicks, and they have to find an antidote as soon as possible.
Maybe Schroder could get fueled by all the hate. If not, he can always post pictures.
