With the Atlanta Falcons preparing for the 2026 season, starting on Sept. 13 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, there is no denying that a key member of the offense will be running back Bijan Robinson, looking to replicate last season’s elite production. While the Falcons quarterback battle between Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. is ongoing, Robinson would give insight into how the offense will be different under new head coach Kevin Stefanski.

According to Will McFadden of the team’s website, Robinson would speak on the new wrinkles to the offense put in by Stefanski and new offensive coordinator Bill Callahan. Aside from Stefanski emphasizing the running backs getting to the second level, there are new screen plays being added to the offense to help Robinson maximize his explosiveness.

“We have a lot of different variations,” Robinson said. “But, for me, it’s to create space for yourself. He does a really good job of being intentional in trying to get us to the second level as fast as possible because when we get to the second level, I feel like that’s where we’re super dangerous as runners.”

“A couple new screens,” Robinson continued. “We’ve been doing the same kind of screen the past year, which has been effective. I love us having to add more screens, and screens that can go across the play. There are just so many things that we can do with that scheme.”

Last season for Robinson with Atlanta, he recorded 1,478 yards on the ground with seven touchdowns, averaging 5.2 yards per carry, to go along with 820 yards on 79 receptions with four scores, as the star 24-year-old looks only to improve.
