Ex-Cavs forward Richard Jefferson reveals additions to 2016 team reunion

LeBron James might have a European accent now.

James and his former teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers have spent the last few days in Europe, celebrating the 10th anniversary of their historic championship in 2016.

James, Kevin Love, JR Smith, Richard Jefferson, Channing Frye, and Tristan Thompson started their reunion in London and Scotland, where they played 2,000 rounds of golf and drank 22,000 bottles of wine. They will then move to France and extend their merrymaking.

In a comment on Instagram, Jefferson revealed that Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova will join the party.

“We are headed to St. Tropez, and Delly and Shump are meeting us there,” said Jefferson.

Legend has it that Dellavedova is still guarding Stephen Curry right now.

Fans have been looking for Kyrie Irving. Unfortunately, he could not come due to pre-scheduled commitments. It would have been cool to see Irving with the group, but it looks like James and company are still having a grand time, hanging out, eating well, and shouting at each other.

They formed a strong bond during their playing days, forged by the challenges and hindrances they faced together. Even though a decade has passed since they won the NBA Finals, which gave the Cavaliers their first title, they have stayed present in each other’s lives.

A lot has changed since 2016. James, Love, and Dellavedova are the only ones still playing, Jefferson, Frye, and Shumpert are now media personalities, Thompson is focused on entrepreneurship, and Smith has learned to wear a shirt in public.

But what has not changed is their—how do you say togetherness with a European accent?
