England thrash opponents 6-0 in behind-closed-doors World Cup warm-up game as uncapped starlet scores
England stepped up their preparations for the World Cup by cruising to a 6-0 win in a behind-closed-doors friendly.
Just 24 hours after beating Costa Rica 3-0 in Orlando, the Three Lions were back out on the training pitch to take on US second-tier side Miami FC.

Ivan Toney was the starman in the rout, as he bagged a hat-trick to stake his claim for some game time at the tournament.
The ex-Brentford striker is said to have netted a ‘worldie’, while current Bees midfielder Jordan Henderson also got on the scoresheet.
There were also goals for two players who won’t see a minute of World Cup action in Thomas Tuchel‘s side.
Liverpool starlet Rio Ngumoha and Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri scored.
Ngumoha is claimed to have scored a ‘breathtaking’ goal from distance, following on from his impressive debut against New Zealand.
The full England line-up is unknown due to the match’s private nature, but some other stars got some minutes.
Marc Guehi and Kobbie Mainoo played in the clash at the Three Lions’ training base in Florida, and they reportedly impressed.
The final World Cup preparation fixture occurred before the squad travels to Kansas City on Saturday to settle into camp.
Their pre-tournament friendly campaign finished in the way it started, with England winning all three of their outings.
Tuchel’s side beat New Zealand 1-0 and Costa Rica 3-0 before thrashing Miami FC 6-0, not conceding a single goal.

When does England’s World Cup begin?
So, England look to be warmed up very nicely ahead of their Group L opener against Croatia next week.
The Three Lions kick off their campaign almost a week after the tournament opener that saw Mexico beat South Africa 2-0.

Kick-off in the UK is set for 9pm at the Dallas Stadium.
Following that, England then take on Ghana on Tuesday, June 23 at 9pm and Panama on Saturday, June 27 at 10pm.
