Eagles extend Sphere residency again with 6 more 2026 shows thanks to ‘overwhelming demand’

The ongoing residency by the Eagles at the Sphere in Las Vegas will eclipse 60 shows with the latest extension of their stay at the venue.

On Monday, May 4, 2026, the Eagles announced that they have extended their Sphere residency for six more shows in the fall. They will perform three more weekends.

They cited “overwhelming demand” as the reason for the latest announcement of new shows. This brings the band’s total of shows in the residency to 64, making it the longest residency at the venue. The Backstreet Boys will have performed 53 shows during their residency, which will conclude on Aug. 22, 2026.

This isn’t the first time that the Eagles have extended their residency. It remains unclear if this is the last time that they will add shows to their itinerary.

In addition to their Sphere shows, the Eagles are in the midst of their Long Goodbye farewell tour. They have shows planned in Atlanta, Georgia; Nashville, Tennessee; Hollywood, Florida; and Arlington, Texas. The Long Goodbye farewell tour began in September 2023.

The Eagles’ Sphere residency began on Sep. 20, 2024. During every show, they play some of their greatest hits from their entire discography.

The band has been together since 1971. Longtime members like Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit, and Joe Walsh are still part of the lineup. They are joined by Deacon Frey, the son of the late Glenn Frey. Vince Gill joins them as a guitarist and vocalist.

Below are the six new dates for the Eagles’ Sphere residency. They will play three weekends on Fridays and Saturdays. One weekend is in September, while the other two are in November. Metallica will be beginning their residency during the Eagles’ break in October.
