Dodgers to host Harry Potter anniversary with special drone show

The Los Angeles Dodgers are putting on a special drone show in honor of Harry Potter.

The legendary film and book series will be honored on June 13 for the 25th anniversary of the Harry Potter films.

“Watch 1,200 illuminated drones recreate your favorite characters and most beloved movie moments, synchronized with the legendary music from the soundtrack and dialogue from the films,” the statement read on the Dodgers’ official website.

Fans will be able to be fully immersed in the Harry Potter universe with exclusive merch, Butterbeer, and more.

“Step into a celebratory, wizarding world–inspired pre-show atmosphere: wear your house colors, take plenty of fun photos to capture enchanting memories, enjoy a Butterbeer, or take home a piece of the world of Harry Potter with bespoke merchandise designed for fans of all ages,” the statement continued.

“Whether you are a long-time fan or experiencing the magic of the films for the first time, come celebrate 25 years of Magic in this first-of-its-kind spectacle.”

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was originally released in November 2001. The film, which is the first installment of the eight-movie series, was adapted from author J.K. Rowling’s best-selling novels and will have theatrical screenings across the globe from Aug. 27-Sept. 3 in honor of the 25th anniversary. Fans will be able to see never before seen content as these screenings will include 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage that was not previously aired. According to Hollywood Reporter, there will be more celebrations throughout the year including official Harry Potter locations and retail stores worldwide will celebrate Harry Potter’s birthday, July 31, with products and events.

The drone show will take place on June 13 at Uniqlo Field at Dodger Stadium. Doors will open at 6:00pm for pre-show activities with the show beginning at 9:00pm. Fans interested in attending the special drone show can purchase tickets and find more information here.
