Did rapidly increasing Yankees ticket prices just reveal Aaron Judge’s return?

The New York Yankees are counting down the days until Aaron Judge is able to return to the lineup from his months-long ribcage injury. Judge’s return has been rumored to come this week, potentially as soon as Tuesday evening’s game at home against the Colorado Rockies, following New York’s recent West Coast trip.

Now, a big bump in the ticket market has fans buzzing about a potential return for the superstar.

“The resale market is reacting to Aaron Judge’s return from injury. The average get-in price for Tuesday’s Yankees-Rockies game has more than doubled to $87 as of Tuesday morning, far above what a midweek home game against Colorado would normally command,” reported Front Office Sports on X, formerly Twitter.

Of course, the resale market is set by the fans themselves who already have tickets and are looking to unload them, so it’s unlikely that the bump in prices has been generated by any real intelligence leak.

Still, it’s an exciting time for Yankees fans as they eagerly await the return of their best player.

New York has done a solid job of holding down the fort in the absence of Judge over the last few months, still near the top of the AL leaderboard as the playoffs quickly approach.

However, in order to have any realistic chance of hoisting their first World Series trophy in 17 years, the Yankees will need their best player back in the lineup and in a rhythm heading into the playoffs.

Getting Judge back on Tuesday would certainly check those boxes.
