David Moyes gives Everton January transfer window update after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall injury
Everton manager David Moyes has admitted he could be forced to dip into the transfer market in January.
The window is set to reopen for a month and the timing might well be perfect for the Toffees.

A good run of form had seen Moyes’ men creep up the Premier League table.
Wins over Fulham, Manchester United, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest had boosted the confidence of the Toffees after a mixed start to the campaign.
However, despite a sprightly display, they lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
And while the performance has given them heart, losing star man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to what looked like a hamstring issue in the first half may cause them issues in the coming weeks.
Senegal stars Ilman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye will be absent while they are at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Meanwhile, James Garner is one booking away from a yellow card and Jack Grealish felt a little niggle at the end of the Chelsea clash too.
That combination of events has left Moyes a little nervy.
He said after the match: “The result is obviously disappointing. The performance is not.
“The disappointment is today we’ve got two players going to AFCON. We’ve got another one picked up an injury.
“Jack [Grealish] just felt his hamstring a little bit at the end as well with the effort he made at the back post to try and score.

“So before you know it, you know you can find yourself in no situation.
“But look, we’re at a time of year where there’s so many games coming up. You know, weather‘s changing and all sorts. It’s part of football.
Pressed if that combination of events would see his side move in the transfer window he told talkSPORT: “I think January is always important.
“I don’t know if it’s always an easy month to really do your business but look, we’ll try if we think there’s something that can help us.
“Numbers might become an issue but we just hope that everything’s fine. You know, it was important.
I thought Jimmy Garner could have been as good as anybody on the pitch today. But with 10 minutes to go, I knew that I couldn’t afford to get him booked. So I had to take him out of it in case we were going to lose him with five bookings.

“So anyway, look, we’ll see what happens in January.
“There’s no guarantee that we’ll do business but obviously we’ll be looking like everybody else.”
Dewsbury-Hall injury could be the most pressing matter and it appeared to derail their chances of victory.
He added: “We looked as if we were controlling a good part of the game. Kiernan took it out and we just never quite got to grip the next 10, 15 minutes.
“We probably finished a half the better team but that sort of 15 minutes, we just didn’t quite get to grips with it.
“Even the time we got the sub on and all that as well just disrupts you for the two or three minutes where you don’t have them.”
