David Beckham has clashed with one of his sons again – but this time, it’s in a much more light-hearted manner.

The footballing legend and his eldest son, Brooklyn, were involved in a major fallout over the last week following a bombshell statement.

However, after making his first public comments on that matter last week, he’s now gone back and forth with his second oldest son, Romeo.

Except this battle involved some cheeky shots on social media throughout Manchester United‘s thrilling win over Arsenal.

Romeo, who supports the Gunners, was forced to defend his club after the Man United legend rubbed it in.

With the Red Devils in front at the Emirates Stadium during their 3-2 win, Beckham tagged his son in an Instagram story.

He asked alongside a picture of himself: “You ok Romeo??”

Then, after the game, the former England captain rubbed it in further to his Arsenal-supporting son.

Beckham posted, with another image of himself playing for Man United: “As the boss [Sir Alex Ferguson] would say, ‘squeaky bum time’.”

He tagged Romeo and added: “That gap is getting smaller.”

Romeo eventually responded to the onslaught from his dad, hitting back at Man United by showing the Premier League table.

With the image showing Arsenal still 12 points ahead of United, Beckham Jr. wrote: “Don’t get too gassed. Mind the gap.”

Arsenal’s title bid takes hit

Beckham rubbed it in for Romeo as Man United’s resurgence under his ex-England teammate Michael Carrick continued.

The Red Devils beat Manchester City last weekend and came out on top against Arsenal on Sunday evening.

Matheus Cunha scored a late stunner to deny the Gunners the chance to move seven points clear at the top of the table.

With the win, United have now moved into the top four of the Premier League for the first time this season.

And they have also restored hope that they could challenge for a place in the Champions League thanks to Carrick.

It leaves Beckham delighted with his former club, while also having the bragging rights over Romeo for the foreseeable future.

Beckham’s family drama

Some light-hearted fun with his family may be what Beckham has needed amid the ongoing feud with his other son.

Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham released a bombshell statement last week, accusing his parents of controlling behaviour.

He also declared he has no intentions to reconcile with them.

The statement also included accusations of his mum, Victoria, hijacking his wedding day with wife Nicola Peltz which is reported to have included some inappropriate dancing on Brooklyn from his mum.

Beckham was asked about the situation last Monday, but focused fully on the negative impact of social media.
