Darts star fears ‘revenge’ after back-to-back wins against Luke Littler
Jonny Clayton has lifted the lid on his recent winning run against Luke Littler – and his wariness over a backlash from the world no.1.
The Welshman has won both of his meetings with Littler so far in this year’s Premier League.

Those victories include a 6-1 thrashing in the semi-finals of night three in Glasgow last month.
Clayton went on to claim his first nightly win of the year in Scotland before beating Littler in Belfast a week later.
The pair could meet again in the final of night five in Cardiff on Thursday.
However, Clayton has played down his success over Littler in recent weeks.
The back-to-back world champion had won their previous three meetings before the Ferret’s recent triumphs.
That run consisted of wins at the UK Open, World Series of Darts Finals and World Grand Prix in 2025.
Clayton joined talkSPORT’s Danny Kelly and Charlie Baker on Wednesday to look ahead to night five of the Premier League.
When asked if Littler finds his game difficult to handle, he said: “I don’t know. I think you’d have to ask him that question.
“It’s a game of chances. You get that chance against a player of Luke’s ability, quality. If you can take those chances, you’re doing the right thing.
“It’s 2-0 for me at the moment in the Premier League, but I’m sure he’ll get his revenge somewhere down the line.”

Littler has won just one match across the opening four nights of the Premier League, with his only other semi-final appearance coming thanks to a walkover after Michael van Gerwen withdrew in Glasgow.
Meanwhile, Clayton sits at the top of the standings with 11 points to his name already.
The 2021 champion is making his fourth appearance in the tournament and his first since 2023.
Clayton will be eyeing another nightly win in front of his home crowd in Cardiff this week.
The world no.5 is hoping to meet fellow Welshman Gerwyn Price in the final.
He added: “It’ll be an absolutely fantastic night. They’re going to be mental. The Welsh support and the Welsh, there’s no better feeling.

“I watched the rugby the other day, Wales vs France up in Cardiff. It didn’t go our way but the support. Unfortunately, France are superb at the moment.
“But for us in Cardiff playing darts, it’s the same mentality. They want their players to win.
“So hopefully myself and Gez can meet in the final tomorrow night and who knows who picks up that nightly win.”
Clayton faces Gian van Veen in the quarter-finals at the Cardiff International Arena.
The winner of their match will take on either Van Gerwen or Luke Humphries in the semi-finals.
It comes ahead of this weekend’s UK Open, which begins in Minehead on Friday.
