Dana White reveals surprising demographic change to UFC White House event
With less than a few weeks left for the much-awaited UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, the MMA company’s President Dana White has now opened up and revealed a major demographic change for the event.
UFC Freedom 250’s tickets won’t be available for fans to purchase anymore, as White and USA President Donald Trump plan to hand them out to military personnel as a gesture of gratitude for their service. During an appearance on FOX News Channel’s My View with Lara Trump, White explained his shocking decision. (H/T BloodyElbow)
“Well, your father-in-law [Donald Trump], he wants this to be mostly for the military,” White said. “So there’s going to be 4,300 people there. I just literally went over it right now, 4,300 people, and most of them will be military.”
Although MMA fans who are interested in watching the show could do so from an 85,000-seater venue across the street. “Across the street is the Ellipse,” he continued. “For those who don’t know, the Ellipse is a massive park that’s literally, you’ll be able to see the fight from the Ellipse. But we have screens, we’ve got stages, we have music, we have activations over there. We’re going to give away about 85,000 tickets. And there’s a process. You have to register for tickets, and they’re free.
“But you should come to Washington, D.C. that week, the week of the fight. We’re going to be doing all kinds of things in D.C. for fans. It’s really a cool city. Probably most people have never been. If you’re a UFC fan, this is absolutely positively the time to come to D.C.,” White concluded.
UFC is set to hold its UFC Freedom 250 at the White House in Washington, D.C., on Jun. 14, 2026.
