Curtis Blaydes and Josh Hokit make UFC history in epic heavyweight bloodbath at UFC 327
Curtis Blaydes and Josh Hokit put on a fight for the ages at UFC 327.
Both heavyweights traded excruciating blows during the 15-minute bout, as Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier labelled it ‘the craziest heavyweight fight of all time.’

All three judges scored the contest 29-28 in Hokit’s favour to hand ‘The Incredible Hok’ a unanimous decision win and extend his undefeated record to 9-0 in just his third UFC fight.
Hokit dropped Blaydes in the opening seconds of the fight, busting his fellow American wide open early doors.
Blaydes, however, fought back resiliently and put it straight back on Hokit as the fight quickly unfolded into something never before seen in UFC history.

In fact, the statistics proved the aforementioned to be true as UFC commentator Jon Anik confirmed the fight produced the most strikes ever in a three-round heavyweight clash.
With 50 seconds left, both men had incredibly exchanged a combined 276 significant strikes and were completely exhausted by the final bell.
“What an insane fight, that was absolute insanity,” UFC commentator Joe Rogan said after the bout.
“That was one giant highlight you could literally take any 15 seconds from that fight and make it a highlight reel.”
Hokit, who had gone viral several times in the build-up to UFC 327 for playing a wild character, continued with his antics when speaking to Rogan after the fight.
What else happened at UFC 327?

Also on the Miami card, Chris Padilla thought he had scored his fifth consecutive UFC win against MasQuel Mederos until the preliminary fight was overturned to a majority draw.

And Tatiana Suarez became the first woman to finish Lopy Godinez on the hunt for her second shot at the women’s strawweight title after UFC Hall of Famer Kelvin Gastelum had slipped to a submission defeat against Vicente Luque.
More details, including a press conference at the Lincoln Memorial, were also confirmed for the promotion’s White House card at UFC 327, which was headlined by Jiri Prochazka’s light heavyweight title fight against Carlos Ulberg.
