Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders graduates from Colorado
Although Shedeur Sanders recently finished his first season with the Cleveland Browns, he achieved a huge milestone by graduating from the University of Colorado-Boulder on Saturday. The Colorado football social media pages posted a video of Sanders amongst the fellow members of the Spring Class of 2026 at the institution’s commencement ceremony.

Sanders’s graduation officially closes the chapter on a highly acclaimed college career across HBCU football, the Pac-12 and the Big 12. He entered college as a three-star recruit according to 247Sports, but his development quickly exceeded those expectations. With the Jackson State Tigers football, Sanders emerged as one of the most productive quarterbacks in the country, throwing for 6,983 yards while completing 616 of 901 passes with 70 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions over two seasons.
He carried that momentum with him to Colorado Buffaloes football in 2023, making an immediate impact at the Power Five level. In his first season, Sanders threw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns while completing 69 percent of his passes, despite Colorado finishing 4–8. The following year marked a major step forward for both Sanders and the program, as the Buffaloes improved to 9–4. Sanders remained a key driver of that turnaround, posting 3,222 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and a 73 percent completion rate with only seven interceptions.
After an interesting 2025 NFL Draft for Sanders that saw him slide to the fifth round, he was selected by the Cleveland Browns. In his first season, he was tasked with weathering the storm of a QB battle between him and former Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel. Sanders eventually found himself vaulted to the QB1 spot, playing 8 games and throwing for 1,400 yards and 7 touchdowns with 10 interceptions on a 56.6% completion rate.
Now, with his degree secured, he looks to emerge victorious in a three-way QB battle with Gabriel and returning Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.
