Chelsea vs Tottenham prediction

If Tottenham draw here they escape relegation and send West Ham down to the Championship.

However, their form against Chelsea has long been an awful one and that will put the worry into Spurs fans heading to Stamford Bridge and watching from home.

Though they have been a much better side under Roberto De Zerbi and that’s something that can’t be ignored going into this game as Chelsea’s rapid decline might come at the perfect time for Tottenham to face them.

That said, a Chelsea or Tottenham win is hard to be sure of at this stage with all these factors considered, as ultimately their respective forms often prove futile when facing each other, as previous head-to-head records show.

Chelsea vs Tottenham betting tips

Chelsea’s superior head to head form

Chelsea are just about evens favourites to win in 90 minutes against Tottenham, but drop marginally just below that in bet builders.

That doesn’t quite offer the right kind of value but there’s also plenty of options for bet builders otherwise instead of betting on the result itself.

Chelsea will likely be without Joao Pedro who came off with an injury in the FA Cup final which adds to their long list of players unavailable.

An issue both sides are facing with Spurs also seeing the likes of Dejan Kulusevski still out from a long-standing injury along with key players Xavi Simons, Dominic Solanke, Cristian Romeri, Mohammed Kudus and Ben Davies all out injured.

Chelsea’s injury list is slightly less impactful due to their strong squad depth which means Liam Delap is likely to come in up top with hopes that Cole Palmer can come back to scoring and assisting as we’d been accustomed to.

Pedro Neto is back and could start again providing both defensive and attacking outlets.

These players are likely to be amongst the attacks for Chelsea to be added for shots on target, while we might see more of Gusto up top as the wing back can venture up more in this kind of game.

Best bet builders

Additional legs to add to bet builders in this game come from cards and corners.

Conor Gallagher has played 14 games already for Spurs and has picked up two yellow cards in that time.

Not a high amount but considering the part he plays for Tottenham and with everything at stake to get a win or a draw, he might be putting pressure on the Chelsea defence and midfield, while leaving a trailing leg.

That also means Marc Cucurella will be enjoying the potential for being involved in fouls too.

He’s often seen getting into spats with opposition players, whether it be from fouls he’s committed or fouls won.

Moises Caicedo is the biggest danger for a card though, he’s ranked third in the league for most yellow cards, having picked up 11.

The player that comes closest to that tally for most is Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Porro who’ve both picked up nine each.

As for corners, Chelsea have won the third most in the Premier League so far, only behind Man City and Newcastle, with 221.

Tottenham aren’t too far behind with 198 but it’s likely we won’t see Spurs push up too much inviting many counter attacks.
