Bucks warned about holding Giannis Antetokounmpo out by ClutchPoints NBA Insider
The Milwaukee Bucks got a warning from an NBA insider about how they are treating superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo as they near the end of the regular season.
Antetokounmpo has gone through multiple injuries throughout the 2025-26 campaign, which came at the cost of the Bucks’ playoff hopes. They are no longer eligible for the postseason, their first absence since 2016.
Even though he has been recovering, the Bucks didn’t clear him to come back on the court despite his wishes. NBA insider Brett Siegel was critical of this situation during his April 9 appearance on the Clutch Scoops show, hoping the league holds the franchise accountable for their recent actions.
“From the Bucks’ perspective, it’s very clear why they’re shutting him down; so he doesn’t get hurt, so they don’t lose trade value, and they can move him for max value in the off season. I hope that the NBA actually does find the Bucks at fault here, because we deserve to see Giannis on the court, and more so the Bucks fans, who pay all the money every year, the season ticket holders to see Giannis play, and he’s dedicated 10 to 11 years of his life to be there and brought them a championship,” Siegel said around the 29-minute mark.
“They deserve to see him play at least one last time, and for him to go out like this, and for them to treat him at this point, it’s just a very horrible way that they’ve treated their star at the end of his tenure there. And quite honestly, I think that that’s going to have a trickle down effect for other players around the league wanting to play for this organization.”
What lies ahead for Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks

It will be intriguing to see how the Bucks deal with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the offseason. They have enjoyed incredible memories together, but their time might be coming to an end this summer.
Milwaukee has a 31-49 record on the season, holding the 11th spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They are above the Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets while trailing the Miami Heat and the Charlotte Hornets.
The Bucks will continue preparations for their home finale. They host the Nets as tip-off will take place on April 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
