Broncos training facility construction worker dies at scene

The Denver Broncos are gearing up to go on what they hope is a deep playoff run in 2026. However, on Monday, matters got much more serious.

A construction worker was found dead at the site of the new Broncos training facility. No cause of death has been revealed and the matter is still under investigation, via the Arapahoe Sherrif’s office.

“At approximately 8:20 p.m. on June 15, Arapahoe County sheriff’s deputies responded to a medical emergency at the construction site of the new Broncos Training Facility, located at 13409 E. Broncos Parkway,” the sheriff’s office statement read. “A construction worker was found unresponsive by co-workers in a confined ceiling area.”

“SouthMetroPIO crews responded and used tools to gain access to the worker,” it continued. “Despite rescue efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.”

Both Turner Construction and the Broncos released statements of their own, paying respects to the deceased, via Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post.

“This is a heartbreaking loss for the worker’s family, loved ones, friends, colleagues, and all those impacted by this tragedy,” Turner Construction’s statement read.

“The Denver Broncos are heartbroken to learn a subcontractor working on our new training center passed away Monday while on-site,” the franchise’s statement began. “We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to the individual’s family, coworkers and friends during this difficult time.”

The Broncos were hoping to have their new facility up and running by training camp. There are now slated to be delays which could affect that timeline. Overall though, both the franchise and the construction companies’ immediate responses show much more concern for the deceased. More information about the case should be revealed once established.
